ARITAN NG offers buffer system with a very uniform neutralizing effect even at fairly low pH value , a feature that promotes grain tightness. The risk of excessive neutralization is eliminated even with the addition of strongly alkaline neutralizing agent as the system is well buffered and pH does not increase drastically.

ARITAN NG forms complex salts with chrome tanning compounds. These complex salts than from chromium - protein complexes, which occupy a large space & thus produce leather of improved fullness. The affinity of the chromium complex for the skin is so pronounced that the chromium salt solution almost completely exhausted.

ARITAN LSI LIQUID is a resin retaining agent and gives good grain tightening. It is used for the retainage of a wide variety of chrome leather and particularly valuable for softy upper leathers with tight grain and for exceptionally soft Nappa leathers and suede. Properties
The best result is obtained in the pH range of 3.5 to 4.5 i.e. slightly acidic pH. at very low pH below pH 3.5, it causes hardening of leather. At optimum pH it gives good grain tightening and structure levelling properties with a slight Filling action on leather. it produces a fine, tight and elastic grain leather and white or pastel coloured leather.

The best result are obtained in the acidic pH (3.5 to 4.5) and hence ARITAN LSI LIQUID can be applied before or during neutralization process.

Amount : 2.5% ARITAN LSI LIQUID

Formic acid is used in leather industry, where it is used in the tanning and treatment of leather to prevent mould formation. Formic acid is also used in the production of formates (used in oilfield chemicals, de-icers and coolants), artificial sweeteners, pharmaceuticals, plant protection agents and UV absorbers, as well as in textile dyeing and finishing.

Properties
ARICID D10 acts in a pH range between 6 and 10 and is Compatible with all the auxiliaries present in soaking and liming. ARICID D10 is an excellent odourless preserving agent with Strong bactericide action that, spreading on leather evenly, assures Long preservation on green or on any kind of leather in soaking.

Use
Green leathers : - use 0,3% ARICID D10 calculated on the fresh weight for 3 days preservation.

The maximum preservation is one week, increasing ARICID DIO by 0.1% every additional day. Soaking

• Use 0.03 0.10% ARICID D10 for short soaking
• Use 0.06 0.15% ARICID D10 for long soaking

Vegetable Tanning
Indicative amount referred to pelt weight : 0.1% - 0.2% diluted 1:2- 1:5 to be added slowly with the vegetable tanning agent.

Retaining
Indicative amount calculated on shaved weight: 0,05% - 0.1% blended with the fatliquor.

ARICID 30 WK dosing also depends on climatic conditions, Wet blue storing length and on the presence of substances that Increase leather tendency to form moulds (ammonium salts, Surfactants, fatliquors, organic masking agents, etc).

The amounts indicated above are indcative and can change from case to case.

Application

• ARITAN AB3 is mostly preferred for bleaching EI leather while ARITAN AB4 is preferred for bleaching heavy leathers like factory sole leather, industrial leather etc.
• Drum Bleaching : light & medium weight leathers are drummed with 3.5% of ARITAN AB3 or AB4 in 150% of float at 30^oC until the desired bleach effect is attained followed by rising for five minute in running water.
• Dip Bleaching : This is carried out in plastic tubs containing solution of 70-100 gm of ARITAN AB3 or AB4 per litre of water. The leathers to be bleached are imersed for a short period in the solution given a short rinse.

ARITAN DS LIQUID is a bleaching syntan having good cleaning and bleaching action esp. for sole and vegetable tanned leathers to get on even. Clean bright and light coloured surface.

Applications
ARITAN DS liquid is generaly used at last stage of processing. The pretanned leather if loaded in a drum and 2-3% ARITAN' DS liquid is added and run for 30-40 mins, ARITAN DS can be added during chrome tanning for getting white or paste shade.

ARITAN RE is a special retanning agent for chrome leathers. Its special retanning action allows to achieve full leathers, without Modifying their grain Fineness.

It is viscous but easily pourable and dilutable by adding warm Water. Th product is sensitive to acids and can percipiate with pH Valueslower than 3; it's only partially mixable with cationic Products ( for example: mineral tanning agents}. ARITAN RE Can be used with synthetic and vegetable tanning agent Fatliquors, sulphited products, anionic dyestuffs and other anion- Active products in the usual concentration, provided that pH does not decrease under the above said limit.

In retanning, ARITAN RE provides fullness without affecting Grain fineness and firmness, moreover the typical aspect of chrome Leather remain unchanged, though some synthetic vegetable Retanning agents are still necessary.

ARITAN RE is light-fast and offers even and slightly lighter dyes. In case of light-colored leathers, together with white tanning Agents, you will obtain an even higher white degree.

ARITAN AFB liquid is a anionic retanning agent for chrome feather.

ARITAN GSI LIQUID is a tanning agent based on synthetic resin based on carbamide formaldehyde precondensate. ARITAN GSI LIQUID is suitable for the retannge of chrome upper, clothing leathers and upholstery. It has excelling and colour yield produces a good regular, nap on the suede.


Properties
ARITAN GSI LIQUID is noted for its ease of application and uesd at many stages in leather processing including pickling retaining, chorme tanning, dyeing.

• Retanning : used of 3-5% may be applied alone in combination with suitable synthetic tanning for levelling out irregularities in the structure of leather & controlling the rataining process.
• Pickling : (3-5% on weight) is added to pickle bath at pH of about 5 and treatment time of 30 minutes produces leather which are substantially more compact in nature.
• Chorme tanning : (1.5 to 2% on weight) in chorme tanning bath improves the plumpness and grain tightness of cattle hides for shoe uppers.

ARITAN GSI LIQUID can be used in retaining of nappa leather sheep, goat, suede leather and for full grain or corrected grain hide.

ARITAN AB-6 is a syntan for retanning of chrome and combination tanned leathers for the production of soft leathers possessing improved ,fullness and good dyeing properties.

Auxiliary neutralizing syntan based on naphthalene sulphonic acid condensate.
Properties

• Being anionic and having neutal pH, it neutralizes the cationic chrome and mineral tanned leathers.
• With buffering and complex forming action, it neutralizes uniformly the surface and the cross section of leather leading to a very great levelling action and imporved penetration of anionic products including anionic dyes.
• No tanning action on the grain of leather leading to no coarseing of the grain.
• Helps to disperse the tannis, distributing them more evenly in the leather.

Application

• Used either alone (1-3% on shaved weight) or in combination with common commercial neutralizing agents like sodium bicarbonate, sodium formate etc.
• Highly suitable for initiating the retannage when used alone or in combination with other retanning agents.
• Used after a chrome or zirconium tannage, for example on box calf and napps.
• Provides level dyeing with only minimal shade weakening effect by preventing the spontaneous reaction of anionic dyes with cationic charged leather i.e chrome leather,
